Things have felt a bit out of control in the last week. I don’t like feeling out of control, but with three kiddos five and under, things keep spinning despite sickness, flooding, and a plate that’s too full. If you can relate, this is your reminder that we can do hard things. Why? Because Jesus did hard things, and we are made in His image (Gen. 1:26).
He was mocked, betrayed, bullied, flogged, dismissed, dishonored, lied to, crucified, and murdered. As Christians, we don’t have it “easy.” Christ sure didn’t. BUT we don’t have to “put on a happy face for the world to see” either. We can instead lean into Him, because regardless of what we’re staring down today, our hope really isn’t here in this world-in this stuff. Our hope is in the One who created, planned, called, and redeemed us - freely.
If you’re in a hard space, I see you. Keep pushing. Keep praying. I’m praying for you tonight. But even more so, God sees you. He hears you. Be encouraged: “The Lord is the One who will go before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:8).
Have a nice weekend, friends!
